How To Get The False Shaded (& Classic) Spectacles
Final Fantasy XIV 6.1 offers a host of new cosmetics for players to acquire. Among these are the False Shaded Spectacles and False Classic Spectacles.
The False Shaded Spectacles and False Classic Spectacles are two new Fashion Accessories added in Final Fantasy XIV‘s Patch 6.1, offering adventurers more variety for their Glamour eyewear. The False Shaded Spectacles are sunglasses featuring a semi-rimless style with a fancy laser-cut design on both lenses. The shades have a thick yet sleek golden top with a stylish bridge piece.
Conversely, the False Classic Spectacles are almost the complete opposite of the glamorous shades in FFXIV, offering a meek yet studious countenance when worn. The lenses feature a bold black frame that possesses a soft curved shape about its frontal rim. Depending on the wearer’s fashion or even their avatar’s appearance, it’s possible for the False Classic Spectacles to provide its user with an endearing and almost youthful look. Likewise, these lenses would pair excellently with Glamour sets such as the student-style Collegiate Attire.
The methods of obtaining the False Shaded Spectacles and False Classic Spectacles are entirely separate from one another. First, the False Shaded Spectacles are received as a milestone reward by participating in the current PvP season known as Series Malmstones. On the other hand, the False Classic Spectacles are much more challenging to unlock. They’re acquired as a random drop from one’s FC Subaquatic Voyages.
Unlocking The False Shaded & Classic Spectacles In FFXIV
To get the False Shaded Spectacles in Final Fantasy XIV, Warriors of Light must sign up for PvP in Eorzea by completing the Level 30 Grand Company quest, “A Pup No Longer.” From here, they can unlock the newly updated Crystalline Conflict to earn PvP-related XP. This XP progresses the Series Level of one’s Series Malmstones in their PvP Profile. Every level will reward PvP participants with Trophy Crystals, which can be exchanged for rarities at the Wolves’ Den. However, adventurers will earn a unique item every five levels. Once they reach Series Level 15, they will acquire the False Shaded Spectacles in FFXIV.
The False Classic Spectacles are a rare drop from Level 90 Subaquatic Voyages of one’s Free Company. This activity functions similarly to Retainer Ventures, except the entire process is not an individual player but a company-wide effort. To conduct these deep-sea expeditions, players must construct a submarine and gradually level it up to Level 90 Ventures in FFXIV. Furthermore, the vessel itself will need a “Survey Rating” of roughly 220 to be able to get False Classic Spectacles as a potential loot drop from the dive points. This entire endeavor is both challenging and time-consuming for those who’ve yet to set up their Subaquatic Voyages. Therefore, it might be more convenient and potentially cheaper to buy the lenses from the Market Board for several million Gil.
