Masked Singer panellist Rita Ora had TV fans in uproar on Saturday night as her new hairstyle sent Twitter into meltdown.
Calls to “sack the stylist” were amongst some on the tweets, although some fans praised her interesting new look.
Taking centre stage should have been the double elimination, as the popular ITV show kicked off at the weekend, but instead it was panellist Rita’s hair that took much of the viewers attention.
They couldn’t quite get their heads round her very 80s do, with some saying whoever was responsible for it should get sacked.
Fans of the show flocked to Twitter to make comparisons, with some fans likening her to Shirley Carter from EastEnders.

Others said she was trying to emulate Miley Cyrus’ recent look, while names like Joe Exotic, Rod Stewart, Limahl and Lulu were also thrown into the mix.
There were plenty of calls to “sack the stylist” as one viewer reacted: “Time to get rid of Rita Ora… not because if the rule breaking… but because of the awful Rod Stewart hair.”
Another posted: “Rita Ora’s hair on tonight’s #maskedsingeruk is friggin’ awful”
Many took the opportunity to have a dig at Rita breaking lockdown rules to throw a party at a London restaurant for her 30th birthday, with one tweeting: “Wow. #RitaOra ‘s hair is as bad as her social distancing.”
Another quipped: “Rita Ora: Wonder if that hair is a punishment for breaking lockdown? State!”
Others backed her style choice, however, with one commenting on a picture she uploaded from the set to write: “Loved the hair. Take no notice of these jealous moan a lots who can’t appreciate a good thing when they see it.”
Another told her: “Damn that’s a sexy hair style the best you’ve had.”
Ahead of the double elimination, bookies had a few potential celebrities absolutely spot on as to who was behind The Masked Singer.
Odds shortened on long time favourites – Sheridan Smith for Sausage, Aston Merrygold for Robin and Lenny Henry for Blob, while two other odds on favourites also emerged.
Despite singing Aha’s Take On Me, both bookies and viewers thought the group’s frontman Morten Harket was Viking, proving to be correct, while last week’s song choice Because of You led to Ne-Yo becoming the hot tip for Badger.
