The 75th Cannes Film Festival has officially begun—and with it comes the 2022 Cannes red carpet. Over the course of the next nearly two weeks, the highly anticipated festival will screen the best in international cinema, showcasing the talents of actors, directors, and film crews from all over the world. From afternoon photo-calls to gala premieres, the Cannes red carpet 2022 is where you’ll find a bevy of bold-faced names and, in tow, their indelible fashion sense.
For the next 11 days, the French resort town will play host to some of the most lauded actors from around the globe as well as fresh new talents. This year’s slate includes the world premiere of Elvis, Baz Luhrmann’s glitzy King of Rock and Roll biopic starring Austin Butler in the titular role, as well as Crimes of the Future, David Cronenberg’s first film since 2014’s Maps to the Stars, which features Viggo Mortensen, Kristen Stewart, and Léa Seydoux. Claire Denis’s romantic thriller Stars at Noon brings together an interesting cast composed of Joe Alwyn, Margaret Qualley, Danny Ramirez, Benny Safdie, and John C. Reilly. And George Miller’s fantasy romance Three Thousand Years of Longing joins Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton.
