As its name implies, Exciting Fiber is an exceedingly rare resource in Final Fantasy XIV obtained from the instanced treasure Dungeon, The Excitatron 6000. This unique Treasure Hunt instance functions similarly to the Aquapolis, the Lost Canals of Uznair, or The Dungeons of Lyhe Ghiah. To enter The Excitatron 6000 in FFXIV, adventurers will need a Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Map. This item can be purchased from the Market Board for a high price or randomly discovered while gathering Level 90 nodes in Endwalker‘s regions.
Once deciphered, a Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Map turns into a Kumbhiraskin Treasure Map, a geographical sketch indicating where a potential Excitatron 6000 portal is located. Within this Dungeon, FFXIV players must try their luck at gaining a host of valuables and rarities, including Exciting Fiber. Once they’ve acquired the fiber, they can sell it for upwards of millions of Gil on their server or use it to craft the new Varsity Attire.
